and his emphasis on value, performance, quality and customer service. As CEO and Project Executive of Welsh Construction, Mike Schraad oversees the implementation of the company’s operating goals, plans and objectives and plays a key leadership role in project management and execution.
In this leadership role, Mike directs the development and improvement of the business process and procedures, including project management, field operations, supervisory and self-performed work, yard operations, staffing and safety. Prior to becoming CEO, Mike spent the majority of his career actively involved on the front-end of projects. He excels during the pre-construction phase and has used his strong estimating skills to never miss a budget. His strength in understanding what a client needs, what materials are needed, and who needs to be involved is unparalleled. As a mentor and leader, Mike passes these fundamentals on to others to perpetuate his record of success.
Mike has more than 30 years of experience in the building industry, working primarily in steel and concrete construction in a broad range of projects including office buildings, industrial buildings, churches, retail, educational, medical, hotel, residential and churches. His projects have been located across the country, ranging from $500,000 to $65 million. Significant projects include the LEED® Certified Baker Road Corporate Center, Northwest Regional Family Services Center, Christ Community Church and The Lodge of The Lakes at Stillwater.
