BMO HARRIS BANK

Retail | Tenant Improvement | 2,000 SF | Minneapolis, MN

BMO Harris was looking to add a new location to the downtown Minneapolis skyway. Welsh Construction was hired to renovate an existing space in the 50 South Sixth street skyway in
downtown Minneapolis. With BMO moving into a space that was previously occupied by another bank, Welsh Construction’s approach was to value engineer the space. The glass offices and wood framing were repurposed and painted to give it a fresh new look that aligned with BMO’s brand and design standards.

Welsh Construction was able to demonstrated their creative problem solving skills by coming up with a solution on how to add restrooms to the space. The bank is located directly above a prominent, high-end restaurant which posed a challenge because Welsh couldn’t open the ceiling or run piping though the restaurant. They solved this by running plumbing through a closet during non-operational hours. Welsh was able to
complete all this on-time and on budget.
