Prior to The Bluffs of Lake city being built, there were very limited options for seniors in the Lake City area, especially if loved ones wanted to stay close to each other as their care levels changed. Lake City residents were moving away in order to get the services they needed. The Bluffs of Lake City set out to create a holistic senior community to prevent residents from moving away from the area. Located adjacent to the Mayo Clinic’s existing nursing home campus, residents now have access to all levels of care in one area.

Welsh’s construction team was involved since the beginning of this project, working through the entire pre-construction phase and on through completion. Managed by Ebenezer Management Services and developed by Wildamere Properties, the Bluffs of Lake City includes 42 independent and assistant living apartments, 24 memory care apartments, and a suite for guests. Amenities include underground parking, remote sensor technology to help alleviate health and safety issues, chef-prepared meals, private dining, salon, spa, and chapel.
