Welsh Construction added four new additions to Bethesda’s Pleasant View senior living campus, allowing them to replace their current skilled nursing campus Bethesda Heritage Center. Unified as one campus, Bethesda is able to offer a full continuum of care under one roof. This USDA-funded project will result in improved quality of life for residents and significantly enhance efficiencies of operations through consolidation.

The 125 residents of Heritage Center were relocated to the Pleasant View campus. A neighborhood design is being utilized to create a community feel, with eight new neighborhoods of 20 residents.

Together with Horty Elving Architects, Welsh met regularly to work through the design and construction document phases with Bethesda leadership, staff, residents, and their families. Welsh helped Bethesda evaluate their “wish list” for the project, and prioritize and value engineer to match their goals to their budget.
